Native Plant Propagation Service

With our extensive facilities and highly trained technical personnel, we are able to grow site-adapted plants for our entire service area.  We specialize in the custom-growing of wetland plant materials with emphasis on the details that ensure large, strong plants.  The propagation philosophy at Forrest Keeling Nursery is that we are growing plants that must succeed on some of the most difficult sites in the world.  We also develop techniques for the propagation of threatened and endangered and difficult-to-grow species.

RPM™ (Root Production Method) container grown genetically adapted native stock offer the greatest success at the least expense if your goal is a successful hard mast producing wooded wetland.

Mid River Wetland Restoration/Forrest Keeling Nursery staff continually strive to improve field and propagation techniques.  We remain absolutely committed to maintaining our position on the cutting edge of technology.

Natural Area Planting

Water Lily

Our staff is available to work with developers to reduce conflicts between natural resources and urbanization.  We will conduct natural resource inventories so you have the information needed to preserve existing high quality natural areas.  We can also develop a plan for the use of native vegetation to create buffers, improve wildlife habitat, increase bio-diversity, enhance aesthetic amenities, reduce run-off and improve storm water quality.
